Lift Yourself Up with nonsurgical PDO Thread Lift

The easier, more natural solution for facelifts & more

At Amalurra Centre for Medical Aesthetics, we offer non-surgical facelift treatments using PDO Max Threads. PDO Thread treatments are non-surgical esthetic procedures that reposition static sagging skin. In less than one hour, we can turn back time and transform your look with virtually no down time. Restore your youthful look, reflect how you feel inside, and be confident with PDO Threads.

There are no cuts and no incisions. Using a very fine acupuncture needle, special dissolvable threads made of polydioxanone (PDO) are injected into the skin, and sometimes the muscle, to tighten the skin. PDO threads are very safe, having been used in medicine for many years, mainly in surgery. For example, PDO sutures have been used for Pediatric Cardiac surgery for over 35 years.

PDO threads have a powerful dual effect. The first is to reposition skin, giving a lifted effect. The second is to stimulate your body's own collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. A rejuvenated appearance can be seen immediately following the treatment; however, the results will improve in the following days and weeks as the PDO stimulates neocollagenesis, which in turn produces collagen. The overall texture of the skin is improved; it becomes thicker, tighter and firmer and other skin issues like open pores, fine lines and wrinkles are smoothed away as well.

  • What is PDO thread lift?

A thread lift is a non-surgical brow lift that uses PDO (polydioxanone) threads to pull up the skin. Polydioxanone (PDO) threads are thinner-than-hair medical grade absorbable threads that lift and tighten sagging skin tissues. These threads are implanted into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using small needles or cannulas. PDO threads have microscopic barbs that anchor into your skin and tack it in place. After the doctor injects the threads, the skin looks rejuvenated, filled and lifted.

As your body absorbs the threads, it stimulates collagen production around the affected area. The collagen boost maintains the effect of your thread lift over time. Results can last up to two years, and the “rejuvenation” effect increased with the number of thread-lift operations done.

PDO threads are also a safer, more affordable alternative to traditional facelifts and other “lifting” procedures. Thread lifts have low risks since the procedure is non-invasive and the technology is FDA-cleared. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons confirms that there’s virtually no risk of severe bruising, scarring, bleeding, and other complications. At most, you’ll experience some pain, itchiness and redness on the injection site, but they should fade after a few hours.

  • What is the purpose of a PDO thread lift?

A PDO (polydioxanone) thread lift does as its name suggests: it lifts facial tissue (and therefore skin) to combat multiple signs of aging. As we age, skin laxity and a natural decline in hyaluronic acid causes our facial features to hollow and slip from their original positions. As a result, we look older than we are, older than we feel, or older than we’d like.

Available in barbed and smooth varieties, PDO threads grab and lift tissue beneath the skin to return facial features to their original positions, taking years off the appearance of faces, cheeks, chins, and necks.

  • How do PDO thread lifts physically work?

The human face is complex, full of supporting acids, structural proteins, muscular systems, and more. Aging affects each of these systems and, in turn, contributes to an appearance of aging. PDO thread lifts address each of these systems for safe, reliable, and even reversible non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

To combat skin laxity (or drooping), PDO threads grab tissue and fat pads beneath the skin and hoist them into place. Polydioxanone (PDO) has a high tensile strength while retaining flexibility, translating to both comfort and effectiveness. For improved skin quality and health, PDO threads encourage a supercharged production of collagen—a naturally produced structural protein. Lastly, once in place, PDO threads prevent the worsening or deepening of fine lines & wrinkles.

  • What can PDO thread lifts improve?

By lifting skin, promoting collagen, and preventing fine lines & wrinkles from worsening, PDO thread lifts can encourage a youthful appearance and healthier skin.

PDO thread lifts rejuvenate facial appearance by creating results for your:

    - Nose

    - Under-eye area

    - Jaw

    - Neck

    - Brows

    - Lips

    - Cheeks

    - Jowls

PDO thread lifts also tackle common fine lines & wrinkles, including:

    - Smoker’s lines

    - Bunny lines

    - Crow’s feet

    - Frown lines

    - Smile lines

    - Glabellar lines (the “11s” between eyebrows)

    - More

  • Who’s an ideal candidate for PDO thread lifts?

Because PDO thread lifts are quick, effective, and minimally invasive, they’re ideal for patients who are reluctant to choose surgical interventions. PDO thread lifts don’t require general anesthesia—a roadblock for patients of a certain age. Otherwise, the procedure can be used in a preventive or corrective capacity for patients spanning a wide age range. Women and men in their 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s+ can all benefit.

  • What Can PDO Thread Lifts Do For Me?

This answer depends on who you are! Patients enjoy an affordable, non-surgical facelift with benefits lasting upwards of 2 years. Thanks to a 1 hour procedure window, providers spend less time in the operating room while still creating fantastic results and encouraging word of mouth. The question, as it turns out, is “What can’t PDO thread lifts do for you?”
