Microchanneling facial treatment is a procedure that involves using an Airshine microneedling device to deliver products such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP), dermal fillers, muscle relaxants, retinol, and antioxidants directly into the skin. The device uses very fine needles to create tiny punctures, called micro-channels, in the skin to stimulate the body's natural healing response and promote collagen production and inject the skin with myriad anti-aging products.
Applying anti-aging products directly under the skin allows them to be absorbed much more effectively, because they do not have to bypass the natural protective barrier of the skin. Deeper penetration of these active ingredients results in a more healthy and vibrant appearance of the skin, with extended periods of effectiveness for each of the products used.
Airshine microchanneling offers targeted treatment for many skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, decreased skin elasticity and loss of facial volume. Depending on your skin concerns and desired results, we are able to fully customize the solution to be applied with the microchanneling device.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is the primary ingredient in the treatment, but the solution can be customized with other ingredients to maximize results. The other products used include Xeomin® and Restylane®. Xeomin®, when injected in small levels at the surface of the skin not near a muscle, improves the size of the pores, improves acne, and decreases redness over time. The formula’s muscle relaxant properties also provide a natural, gentle smoothing of the skin. Restylane® dermal fillers aid in correcting deeper wrinkles and areas that need more volume. Microchanneling with Restylane® provides a natural-looking increase in skin suppleness.
Three sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart show the best outcomes for this treatment. Results appear slowly and naturally as the PRP amplifies the natural growth factors your body uses to heal tissue. Because the Airshine treatment offers buildable results, it also works well used in conjunction other medical aesthetic treatments.
